Job Description:

Main Purpose of the Role:

 

To provide support in health care procedures at District Health quarters Hospital and coordinate with different specialist for provision of quality services. The project seeks to increase the access to quality of health care services by minimizing morbidity and mortality. Merlin goal is to offer accessible primitive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative care for the suffering communities of District Buner.

Responsibilities

· Install, adjust, maintain, repair, or provide technical support for biomedical equipment · Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment · Train clinicians and other personnel on the proper use of equipment

· Design and develop medical diagnostic and clinical instrumentation, equipment, and procedures, utilizing the principles of engineering and bio-behavioral sciences.

· Analyze new medical procedures in order to forecast likely outcomes.

· liaising with technicians and manufacturers to ensure the feasibility of a product in terms of design and economic viability;

· liaising closely with other medical professionals, such as doctors and therapists as well as with end-users (patients and their carers);

· meeting with senior health service staff or other managers to exchange findings;

· dealing with technical queries from hospitals and GPs and giving advice on new equipment;

· testing and maintaining clinical equipment;

· investigating safety-related incidents;

Skills Required

 

· 2 years’ experience as Biomedical Engineer in Hospital set up.

· Worked in laboratories and analytical approach

· Empathy and strong communication skills are required while explaining procedures to patients/close relations who are going through the traumatic procedures.

· Being well organized and demonstrating strong problem solving skills are important during an operation. Sometimes, decisions have to be made very quickly to save a patient's life.

Job Requirements:

· Master/Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering/Applied Sciences,

 

 

Preferred Skills

 

 

· Knowledge on computer (Microsoft Word, Excel)

· Experience by working at secondary or tertiary care hospital.
