Job Description:

Main Purpose of the Role:

To receive, store and secure all supplies brought in to the pharmacy under his/her control. To ensure that proper documentation is maintained for all stocks.



He/ She will

  • Assist the Pharmacy supervisor in ensuring the maintenance of medicine and medical equipments stock and storage as per international NGO drug management guidelines.
  • Assist in Keeping and maintaining the Daily pharmacy registers.
  • Assist in Updating Bin cards on daily basis.
  • Assist in Maintaining separate Bin Cards for pharmacy Store items.
  • Assist in keeping Prescription records and maintain Daily tally registers.
  • Assist in Preparing and keeping daily, weekly and monthly consumption documents.
  • Follow the advices of the medical doctor in filling out medical prescriptions.
  • Proper dispensing as per Merlin and WHO guidelines.
  • Maintain the stock register and the minimum stock level of medicine as per need.
  • Provide regular updates of medical stock, drug consumption and monthly requests to the Medical Doctor and the pharmacist In-charge
  • Provide feedback to the medical doctor/medical supervisor in issues related to the drug management, consumptions, expiry dates, stock and monthly supply of health facilities
  • Ensure quality control of medicine and medical equipments in the health facilities.
  • Provide health promotion training to the community during drug distribution.
  • Proper session with patients while dispensing medicines.
  • Pharmacy Health Care waste Management.
  • Fulfill any other tasks as assigned by supervisor (s)

Job Requirements:

  • Fluent in English, Urdu & Pashto
  • Trained pharmacist with recognized qualifications
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach and desire to learn.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • A good knowledge of pharmacy procedures. (02 years experience preferable).
  • Honest and open.
  • Use of common sense.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate flexibility, motivation, and maturity

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience of NGO work. ( 01 years )
  • Good knowledge of quality standards and quality controls related to pharmacy practices.
